FRIDAY NIGHT RIFLE LEAGUE
MATCH
DIRECTOR: Jack Versusky
Rifle: Caliber 22 short, long or long rifle, rimfire only.
Entries: Limited to 96 (8 relays), Preference
to juniors.
Open to: Wallkill Rod & Gun Club members
and guests.
Divisions: Adult and Ladies (over 18), Junior
(16-18), Intermediate (13-15), Novice (12 or under).
Categories: Iron sights OR Optics.
Awards: Lewis System. To be determined by
Match Director.
Rules: NRA rules, amended to encourage
maximum participation, are in effect.
Safety: EYE AND EAR PROTECTION IS
MANDATORY. YOU WILL NOT FIRE WITH OUT THEM.
ALL FIREARMS MUST COME TO
AND LEAVE THE LINE CASED.
This league will run eleven consecutive
matches (weeks) including one week of practice. Relays will not start before
published times. Your relay and target is assigned for the duration. Competitors
are not allowed on the firing line if the three minute preparation period has
ended. Match makeup takes priority over shooting ahead. Additional makeup or
shoot ahead relays will be announced the week before.

PREFERENCE IS NOT GUARANTEED
Match Fees: Wallkill members $ 3.50 per
match. Guests: $ 4.00 Juniors: $ 3.00. And you also pay for practice. Wallkill
Rod & Gun Club rifles are available free of charge. Juniors receive free
ammunition. Fees include a trophy dinner. Additional dinner guests may
attend at $ 8.00 each if the number of guests are known and paid in advance.
Course: Standing unsupported. NRA
fifty yard A23/5 target at 25 yards. Five sighting shots and five shots for
record at each of four targets below the sighting target.
Time allowance: 25 minutes. Shooting
coats, tight restrictive clothing, slings, hooked butt plates, and palm rests
are not allowed. The shooter and rifle must not contact artificial support, Due to complaints
about noise, unless you are shooting, or working, you must wait outside.
IF YOU SHOOT THE PRACTICE NIGHT
OFF HAND ( NO BENCH ) YOU CAN USE THAT SCORE IN YOUR 10 WEEK AVERAGE, ONLY THE
PRACTICE NIGHT SCORE CAN BE USED, NO OTHER SCORE CAN BE USED IN YOUR AVERAGE
FOR AWARDS.
INCOMPLETE AGGREGATES ARE INELIGIBLE FOR
AWARDS.
